GURU...very inspiring
Watched GURU this week end, and it lived up to its hype.
It is a great movie and a must watch for all.
Apparently based on Dhirubhai Ambani's life, and how he made Reliance such a successful company. It is based during the license raj when doing business by an indian was not that easy. He took help of many controversial steps and lot of controversial decisions to make his company successful and raise money not only for himself but for all his shareholders. Who does not know what does Reliance mean in perspective to share market.
It has been such an inspiring movie, I plan to buy the DVD when it will be out.
Performance wise, this has been jr AB's by far the best performance to date, and will not be wrong if it can be said that he bypassed his dad in some of the unforgettable scenes.
Direction wise, how much can you say for this legend called Maniratnam...truely awesome.
Music by Rahman adds to the atmosphere, cinematography by Rajiv Menon, back with Maniratnam after Bombay, showed his class yet again. Samir chanda's classic rendition to the old Mumbai can't be forgotten.
In the end it can be said, people will now start to like Ash Abhi pair after this. They looked authentic in all the scenes.
It is probably the last movie that I have watched in Bangalore. I have watched most of the movies here in Urvashi. I would say, it is a very good theatre to watch a movie without burning a hole in your pocket.
And what better a movie to end with than Guru?
