From B'lore...
Finally stepped into silicon city...IT capital of India....Bangalore.Got down from Air Sahara at 2:30...20 min late due to fog.
Had a good time in the flight...good air hostess maaan...but but...my wife was with me so..u know.
I was a bit skeptical about the weather as I read that it was raining for last 2 days...and in the flight we could see the dense cloud cover...we simply floated in the midst of the dark cloud.
However the weather changed dramatically..from the next day...and its bright outside...weather is a bit cool and yes..getting a taste of the famous bangalore weather.

Today..30th, we checked in to the Swami residency...our official guest house. It is a decent one. Got a family room. These 4 days I spent with my in-laws, piu di and ambar da.
Ambar da is a sr manager at infosys. Got to know a lot abt infamous bangalore traffic. (Mainly Hosur rd where infy is based).

I have managed to get a 1BHK flat at JP Nagar...the area is renouned in this part of the world.
We will move into it hopefully on 15th.

Looking fwd to tomorrow's induction at ITC, Windsor Manor.

OK I think I have made up for not blogging for last 4 days.
You know why....

Last day at Cognizant
Finally the day has arrived. Last day at CTS. Hand shakes....best of lucks....treats....gifts.....smiles....are the order of the day.
Gifted with a very fine Van Heusen Tie from my team mates along with a "Parker - steel" pen. Even some guys gifted me with a big home pack of cadbury's diary milk....we all shared it. They are a bunch a gr8 people....I will surely miss them.
I will miss the enjoyable times....those onsite telecons...long queues in the canteen...those lunch/dinner parties (we had a lot of them)....evening chai at the jhuups...and returning home on bus no. 201. Even a snail can beat this bus on a 100m sprint...I bet. No I wont be missing the work over here...
However the most exciting part of my stay (1 yr and 6 months) over here was the annual inter project football tournaments. This year I was the man of the series....I dont think any other company takes office games as seriously as cognizant...they simply "celebrate sports"...cognizant way.
Nostalgia flowing....feeling something different...

But But life has to go on...and so do I.....need to look forward...looking forward to my joining accenture on 1st dec.
All the best cognizant and all the people around me...u made my stay memorable.

Kolkata....Raghu Rai's Masterpieces

I dont think you can have a city like kolkata in this world....

My Friends....
Well there is always a special place for my friends....I am lucky to get to mix with them.
But when I say that, please dont understand that I have loads of them.
I have a limited list of friends like partha, mac, sandy, rajesh, soumya...and each one has a story unique to each other.


partha: he is one of my dearest friends....i cannot forget his funny faces, his little smile looking at us, when he has just seen a lady (not necessarily...most beautiful one). That smile would give us the feeling that the lady has just made partha da's day. The rest...well...cant be made public.
But one thing I really respect of this man is his gr8 sense of making money....also his risk taking ability.
arindam (aka mac): maaaan...I adore his knowledge...one person who knows a lot more than any of us..be it computers...be it general knowledge.
And yes...some thing he does today...we will think doing it after say 2years.
He told me about "blogging" in 2001 and today 2005...I have just started to blog from yesterday....just an example.
Ofcourse I envy his kismat...he visited Switzerland as an onsite visit...god mera chance kaab aayega.
sandy: A gr8 friend of mine and we have been one of the closest friend since my NIIT days. He is now in Nestle...posted in Rourkella...but whenever he comes to his home in kolkata...he will surely meet me.We have a gr8 rapport, and we also do have some thing common between us...Creativity. He must be meeting me even in BLR.
rajesh: This guy is a mad person....when he talks we only hear. The way he tells his stories...u can not resist hearing.
soumya: I dont have that much contact with him on a regular basis...however I met him recently. But whenever we meet we can not stop talking about our late nights at office at rebaca...those were the days.

Counting days.....
Final days of the countdown has started as I gear myself to leave Cognizant and join accenture.
These 2 months of notice period, I have done almost no project work but have done a bit of dot net practice. I screwed up my home PC several times during the course only to get it fit myself again with the help of mac (arindam).
This guy is a geek...there are a very few things in the world of computers that he does not know.

Although there is an excitement to join a new organization...more so as it is accenture....but feeling really down when I get remembered that I will be leaving behind My parents, My friends, My Kolkata....whom I loved dearly.

But, challenges are something that I love to face every day....and this is something that will help me to put behind all these and move forward.

Joining Accenture, Bangalore on 1st Dec
Finally got the invitation to the induction programme at the ITC Sheraton.

After having spent a considerable amount of time reading blogs of numerous bloggers, I could not resist myself to start blogging and share the same space with them.
Though I am not as good as them in expressing my inner feelings in this online stage, I am still going to do it and experience what it is all about.

I must name deepanjan nag and vivek robert, whose bloggs are my daily dose.
Its gr8 to read your bloggs guys and I have made it a habbit to read them when ever I have free time.
